Hiring a contract Laravel developer in Delhi or Noida

Delhi and Noida teams usually do not fail because they cannot find “a PHP guy on a freelance app”. They fail because the brief is a vibe: “we need a senior Laravel resource, immediate joining, 4 years, must know AI”. Then the first ticket is a webhook that 500s because nobody owns the signing secret. This note is what to send instead.

I am a Mathura-based full-stack developer. I take remote contract work for NCR. I do not have a Delhi office on this page, and I will not sell you a local website package because you searched from Gurugram. If that already filters us both, good.

Put the repo in the first message

A useful brief has four attachments, even if they are links: the Git host, how to run locally (README or a sentence), the environment that is broken (staging vs production), and one ticket that would prove the hire worked. “Build the whole backend” is not a ticket. “Create order export CSV with the same filters as the admin index, covered by a feature test if we have Dusk/PHPUnit” is a ticket.

If you cannot share the repo yet, share a screen recording of the bug and the Laravel version. I can still tell you whether this is a two-hour config issue or a week of domain modelling. I cannot honestly say “I can start tonight” without that.

Access that does not become a hostage situation

I need a staging URL, an invite I can revoke, and .env values that are not production secrets pasted in WhatsApp. VPN is fine. Sharing the only production SSH key is not. If your “staging” is a laptop under a PM’s desk, say so — we will still work, but the first ticket will be making a place I can break without taking down checkout.

Code review: I expect comments on the PR, not a voice note that “LGTM ship it” while the test suite is red. If you have no tests, I will not invent a 90% coverage religion in week one. I will add a test around the one webhook we touch so the next person is not guessing.

Delhi vs Noida — same person, different buyer

Agencies in Delhi often need overflow: you keep the client, I take Laravel hours with a cap. Product teams in Noida often already have Jira and a missing backend. I wrote two hire pages so those searches do not land on a Mathura brochure. Read hire in Delhi if you are agency/startup contract, and hire in Noida if you own a product backlog. Pick one as the commercial door. Do not make me quote both as if they were two staff.

On-site five days a week in Noida is a different job. Remote IST overlap is the default I will actually do. If your process requires a laptop in a Sector 62 bay every morning, say so and we will both save a week.

Commercial hygiene

GST invoice, a written slice, access that can be revoked. I will not accept “unlimited unlimited unlimited IP” on a two-day hotfix without a document. I will not join a 11pm US standup as complimentary. Night work is priced or refused.

White-label is fine when the contract is honest. If your client thinks I am a full-time employee on your PF, that is your problem to not create.

What I will not pretend

I will not staff a squad. I will not quote traffic percentages for your pitch deck. I will not “do SEO + Laravel + ads + content” as one blob. Website design packages for Mathura businesses live on other URLs; they are not a discount code for NCR product work.
